Get to Know, Samantha of Auburn Jewelry

When new Beehive designer Samantha Levine isn't juggling work and studying for the bar, she's eagerly crafting jewelry that we are so pleased to now carry at the store! In particular, her enamel and sterling silver pieces - earrings, cufflinks and initial necklaces  - are fresh, modern and easily customizable. Here's a bit about her.
What do you design/make, & what materials do you use?
I design and make earrings, bracelets, necklaces, cufflinks, key chains and rings in sterling silver, 14k gold and enamel.

When did you start designing ?
I started making sterling silver jewelry when I was 14 years old as a freshman at Horace Greeley High School in Chappaqua, NY. I took metals classes all four years of high school, started the Jewelry Club and was a teacher’s assistant senior year. I went on to minor in jewelry and metals at Skidmore college.

Is this your full-time gig? If not, how do you make time to create in your hectic life? I just graduated from law school and I work part time at a law firm. In my free time and at night I make jewelry in my basement studio.
What are you working on right now?
Right now I’m working on new designs that incorporate enamel into sterling silver. Specifically, I’m creating cuff bracelets.

Pick your color & letter! Initial pendants.
